Inter-Island Ferry Delay 28/06/21
The Inter-Islander ferry service has advised that due to the current forecast of severe gales and significant swells in the Cook Straight, that as of 5 pm tonight all south-bound sailings ex-Wellington will cease, and as of 10:30 pm tonight all north-bound sailings ex-Blenheim will cease. Also all sailings tomorrow (29th June are canceled). It is not anticipated that sailings will resume until Wednesday. This will mean that no Inter-Island road freight will travel at all tonight (28th June) or tomorrow (29th June).
